Seva Kendra Silchar have been implementing the project- Facilitating Agriculture Regeneration Measures in Northeast India (Phase III) in 12 villages under Kalain and Lakhipur block of Cachar District, Assam. The project is funded by Misereor, Germany and supported by Caritas India. It covers a target of 469 families with 3252 population. This project is began in the month of November 2019 with the objectives of:–Farming families will have sufficient food production and nutritional intake as per their cultural food habits, farming families will have adopted and promoted indigenous seeds for cultivation and consumption and marginalized farmers from 12 villages will have control over the local market for the sale of excess organic products. Seva Kendra Silchar partnering with Caritas India has been working to help the farming families and communities on various programmes and training related to farming and it measures.
